Certified translation is a translation with notarial authentication, i.e. identity cards, birth certificates, marriage certificates, death certificates, certificates, and diplomas from educational institutions, certificates, or notices that are issued by legal persons, as well as Commercial Register documents.
Notarised translations are available from Russian, German and English into Estonian, and from Russian to English, from English to Russian, from German to English and from German to English.
Speed: small notarised documents will generally be ready on the second day after the document is submitted.
NB!(‘!’ purposeful?) documents issued in foreign countries are valid in Estonia and documents issued in Estonia are valid abroad if the verity of the document is authenticated with an apostille or is legalised. You can also order an apostille for a document that was issued in Estonia from us.
As of 1 January 2015, translations of official documents from Estonian into a foreign language can only be done by sworn translators. You will find the contact information for sworn translators on the Ministry of Justice website.
We provide notarized translations of public law documents, e.g. ID cards, birth certificates, marriage certificates, death certificates, certificates and diplomas from educational institutions, certificates or notices issued by legal persons as well as commercial register documents.
Since we are an internet-based company, and do not accept documents in our office, the notarization process is based on a contract with the client. The fastest way is to scan or photograph the document and send it to us by e-mail and take the original document to the notary office at an agreed upon time. The translation of the document will be notarized within two days to one week. Thereafter, the translation can be picked up at the notary office at Rävala pst 6 in Tallinn or delivered by mail.
